What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Ambassador - Hilton Boston Park Plaza position at Hilton?
One of the most historic hotels in city, the Hilton Boston Park Plaza is seeking a full-time Event Ambassador to join their team! This 1060 room property has a premier Back Bay location just steps away from the Boston Common and the Public Garden, as well as a half mile from Beacon Hill and the Theater District!
As an Event Ambassador, you would report to both the catering and events leaders, as well as collaborate with the hotel's banquet team. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a minimum of one year events experience or one year of food and beverage experience in full-service restaurant that includes event space. Please note that while this position requires a solid understanding of technology/excellent computer skills, this is not a desk-based position!
Interested candidates should be available to work AM and PM shifts as needed without restriction, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

What will I be doing?
As an Event Ambassador, you would be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to department managers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Directly serve on site group and catering customers in a proactive manner
- To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals
- Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
- Selling and influencing both internal and external clients
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution
- Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
- Other duties as necessary based on business needs
