Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Adult Education Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality education to adult learners, focusing on enhancing their skills and knowledge in various subjects. Duties
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to adult learners’ needs.
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and practical application of skills.
- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods including standardized testing, and provide constructive feedback and follow up instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum that meets educational standards and addresses diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive environment for all students.
- Stay current with best practices in adult education, instructional design, and educational technology.
-Attend provided professional development twice a year.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching, preferably in math and literacy education.
- Familiarity with standardized testing.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners.
- Experience in curriculum development that aligns with adult education standards is highly desirable.
- Background in adult education, GED prep, or related fields is a plus.
Required
Current teaching license, or master’s degree in a related field, or bachelor’s degree in a related field with teaching or tutoring experience.
