Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Professional Development Specialist - Nursing Educator to join our team.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Education, Professional Development Specialist- Nursing Educator is responsible for implementing the organization’s continuous Education program to include clinical oversight of the Simulation Education Learning Lab, eHR program, and Learning Management System. This role works collaboratively with the Executive Director of Education to support initiatives that aim to strengthen Hinds Hospice education activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
- Compensation $57 - $60 hourly

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:
- Current California Registered Nurse licensure from an accredited nursing school.
- Master’s degree in nursing required or other health related field or a combination of education and at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Hospice experience required
- Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of hospice regulations and required documentation.
- Experience in staff development, curriculum development and implementation of multifaceted teaching interventions applicable to varying adult learning styles.
- Experience in Simulation Education is strongly desired.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
- Must show proof of automobile insurance, proof of current auto registration and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 10 lbs.)
