Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Professional Development Specialist - Social Work Educator to join our team.
Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Professional Development Specialist, Social Work Educator is responsible for co-designing curriculum, conducting training sessions, and providing mentorship to ensure medical social workers are well-equipped to support patients, families, and healthcare teams. This role involves providing ongoing support to ensure best practices in social work. The Professional Development Specialist, SW Educator, under the direction of the Director of Education is responsible for the education and implementation of standards of care for medical social work services.

Qualifications
- Compensation $40 - $42 hourly

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:
- A graduate of a Master’s program in Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Ability to be licensed (LCSW) within one year.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in health care, hospice experience required. Understands hospice philosophy, and issues of death/dying.
- Experience in a hospice or palliative home care preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
- Must show proof of automobile insurance, proof of current auto registration and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 10 lbs.)
