Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with various HRIS systems.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain employee records within the HRIS system, including data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide support for employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.
- Generate reports related to payroll data for management review, including general ledger accounting reconciliations.
- Utilize software such as PeopleSoft, ADP, Kronos, or similar systems to manage payroll functions efficiently.
- Assist in audits related to payroll processes and governmental accounting requirements.
Skills
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance related to payroll processing.
- Experience with Paycom.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate reports effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
