Hinkle Construction Services (HCS) is a heavy civil contractor. Our services include grading, drainage and concrete construction on highways/bridges, landfills, airports, and site developments.
Within our organization, a project manager has the opportunity to lead projects that have a lasting impact in the communities in which we live and work. They manage heavy civil projects with efficiency and bring projects to a successful completion by coordinating with other HCS personnel, customers and third parties.
Responsibilities:
- Work to promote a zero incident safety culture within HCS.
- Conduct work in a professional manner.
- Serves as main point of contact for communications with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other parties involved in a construction project.
- Works with customers, HCS personnel, and other relevant parties on contract changes and disputes.
- Plans and prepares for project execution.
- Maintains project schedules, ensuring production schedules and budgets are followed.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees resources used in the construction with other HCS personnel and third parties.

- Coordinates with and oversees subcontractors used in the construction.
- Assists with bidding projects.
- Supports project superintendents/foremen.
- Monitors construction progress and assists with changes as needed.
- Manages and monitors cost incurred on projects.
- Reviews monthly job costs with Manager.
- Monitors customer satisfaction related to the Company’s services.

Desired Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree in Engineering or Construction Management; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Skills: Basic Computer skills, Plan Reading, Scheduling and Estimating & Personnel & Project Management.
Experience: Five years in construction related activities; two years in a Supervisory
Position. Has an understanding of contracts and applicable regulations.
Licenses/Certification Requirements (can be obtained upon hire if necessary):
1. Valid Driver’s License that meets Company Driver Policy standard
2. Medically Qualified Driver
3. OSHA 30
4. CPR/First Aid
5. KYTC Traffic Control
6. KY Division of Water Erosion Control
Compensation/Benefits:
This is a salaried, FLSA exempt position. The salary will be competitive with industry standards and consistent with a candidate’s individual work experience, leadership and expertise in the heavy civil construction industry field. He or she will be eligible for a bonus based on Company performance and individual goals. A Company truck and fuel card will be provided for work-related use. Cell phone reimbursement is provided. Vacation time is offered, accrued weekly up to ten days a year for the first ten years of service and then 15 days per here after 10 years’ service.
