Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP is seeking two Trusts & Estates attorneys with 3 to 5 years of experience - other levels of experience may be considered - for our main office in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience with estate planning, estate administration, elder law and special needs planning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the firm’s clients in estate planning process.
- Draft various estate planning and trust administration documents.
- Assist clients with trust funding and advise accordingly.
- Manage trust and probate administration matters and meet deadlines.
There will be substantial client contact as well as interaction with the department's attorneys. Travel to branch offices depending on client needs is required. The position offers an excellent opportunity to assume significant responsibility and hands-on experience in a collaborative, sophisticated and team-oriented work environment.
Requirements
Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication, computer (including Microsoft Word and Excel), problem solving, multitasking, and organizational skills, strong analytical and research skills and attention to detail. Must also be highly motivated and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York or able to waive into the NYS bar.
