This is a Permanent Trusts and Estates Attorney position at Jobot, a dynamic law firm with a rich history spanning over 100 years. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated attorney to join our esteemed legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of trusts and estates law, including estate planning, probate, and estate administration.
- Drafting and reviewing complex wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Representing clients in probate court proceedings and ensuring their rights are protected.
- Advising clients on tax planning strategies to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on complex issues related to trusts and estates law.
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient management of trusts and estates matters.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in trusts and estates law and informing clients of any changes that may affect their estate plans.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on estate planning and probate.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing complex estate planning documents.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws related to trusts and estates.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
