Senior Accounts Receivable Associate

Our insurance industry client is searching for a Senior Accounts Receivable Associate for their office located in Southwest Houston. The salary range is $60,000-$75,000 per year.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Open New Customer Accounts

• Receive and review paperwork.
• Complete bank forms to open account (once minimum opening amount has been met).
• Complete paperwork to transfer funds to new account.
• Setup and maintain online folders.

Close Customer Accounts

• Notify customers of requirements to close out accounts.
• Provide reports to customers of any open liability or balances due.
• Create Hold Harmless for customers to sign once all liability, etc. is cleared.
• Create payment requests to issue funds to customers once all requirements are met.
• Update worksheet to mark account as closed.

Collateral Holding Accounts

• Maintain transactions in Excel worksheets.
• Reconcile monthly.

• Prepare check and transfer requests to and from accounts and submit to bank associate for processing.
• Review account issues such as undeliverable address, bank fees charged in error, unauthorized withdrawals, etc.
• Create/Maintain files for CDs in certain municipal counties.
• Process reports as needed when closing customer accounts and process required quarterly or semi-annually for certain government jurisdictions.
• Prepare account balance report for Annual Statement.
• Participate in Full Accounting Review for company (for Management decisions).
• Backup of daily deposits via remote scanner.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable experience.
• Previous treasury experience a plus.
• Property and casualty insurance experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
• Sage Intacct GL experience a plus.
• Microsoft Office, advanced Excel.
