Sanitation Supervisor

Description Hire Dynamics is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for a client in Alma GA. 1st shift $18 / 22 hr.

Position :

This position contributes to the Company's success by supervising and coordinating activities of sanitation workers, overseeing, and maintaining sanitary conditions of the facility and the facility's production equipment / tools through effective cleaning and proper scheduling. Responsible for all areas of the facility. Responsible for coordination of all sanitation activities on a 24 / 7 schedule. Assists the Quality Assurance department with inspection and testing activities through stages of the manufacturing process to ensure internal and regulatory standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Enforces workplace safety, GMPs, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Directs and monitors all sanitation workers and schedules sanitation activities.
• Ensures all workers who engage in sanitation activities follow safety requirements, GMPs, and company policies.
• Ensures that all sanitation team members are trained on the chemicals, cleansers, sanitizers, and SSOPs, including the use of proper PPE.
• Ensures that the chemical verification process is completed and documented. Ensures the effectiveness of the cleaning and sanitation program.
• Ensures methods are used to confirm the correct concentrations of detergents and sanitizers.
• Ensures cleaning / sanitation chemicals and tools are being used safely, correctly, and effectively.
• Works with Senior Production Managers to identify resource needs. Complies with the chemical control program and maintains legal documents.
• Orders and maintains the supply of all chemicals and equipment needed.
• Develops, writes, and directs the SSOP program and master sanitation program; directly verifies compliance by the sanitation crew and reviews and maintains documentation.
• Provides or coordinates ongoing training and ensures the development of the sanitation crew to ensure that sanitation workers possess active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Responsible for investigating and documenting Corrective and Preventive Actions as they apply to sanitation non-compliances.
• Understands and meets federal, state, and local agency regulations, including Primus criteria for documentation and training. Verifies Primus compliance with procedures as they pertain to Primus and customer expectations through weekly verifications.
• Trains on specific Primus scopes as directed by the QA / Food Safety Manager.
• Ensures that all MSS (Master Sanitation Schedules) comply and are on schedule.
• Identifies the LOTO needs of each sanitation worker for each production machine and ensures proper training, documentation, and enforcement are performed.
• Is a member of the Safety Committee and attends the weekly meetings.
• Controls the Sanitation Department budget by properly utilizing resources and developing cost-saving ideas.
• Directs, schedules, and trains the Janitorial staff.
• Maintains and ensures that all facilities have vital supplies such as toilet paper, hair nets, beard nets, gloves, copy paper, etc.
• Is a member of the HACCP team.
• Performs other duties as directed.
