SPECIFIC TASKS:

1. Inspect the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.
2. Coordinate and monitor cleaning schedules.
3. Perform daily inspections of the facility and report any irregularities.
4. Implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
5. Provide feedback to company managers and advice on facility changes.
6. Monitor the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
7. Create and distribute work schedules for the sanitation workers.
8. Perform daily pre-op.
9. Train sanitation workers and organize refresher workshops for existing staff.
10. Coordinate service of contractors and external cleaning crews.
11. Clean and sanitize processing equipment and processing facilities.
12. Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
13. Ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations.
14. Wash and maintain buckets, containers, and the sanitary state of the Chemical Room.
15. Perform recycling and trash removal from production lines, trash pickup from grounds/plant, cardboard, and plastic baling according to specific job tasks.
16. Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, foamers, cleaning equipment and tools.
17. Be at the forefront of the plant housekeeping with duties such as cleaning break rooms, clean lobby, clean offices, clean labs, clean restrooms, clean workshops (other duties as assigned (cleaning parking lot, clean shipping docks, etc).
18. Lock out Tag out required equipment and document according to OSHA and plant policies and procedures.
19. Work safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning process.
20. Follow all company SSOPs.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
22. Adhere to all company GMPs and Safety Policies.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School Diploma
2. Minimum 1 year Manufacturing experience
3. Minimum 1 year Sanitation supervisor experience
4. Extensive knowledge of the food industry
5. Strong attention to detail
6. Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Ability to design and implement training programs
10. Able to read, write and speak English
11. Strong computer skills MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) or equivalent a must
12. Able to perform labor duties when required
13. Able to lift 50lbs
14. Able to work any shift including overtime and/or weekends
