Accounting Manager
- Assist with managing the general accounting functions
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise staff of 2
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Manage, oversee and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the technical and operational accounting activities of the organization
- Summarize and analyze general ledger accounts with large volumes of data and transactions
- Coordinate and execute timely and accurate period-end close activities according to the close schedule.
- Timely prepare and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams on process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficient in using and understanding large ERP systems
Other:
- Reports to Assistant Controller
- CPA a plus
- Supervise 2 staff
- Comp target is $110-120 and a 5% bonus
- Hybrid (3 days in the office)
