Job Title: Cloud Engineer (Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
Location: New York City, NY/ Pittsburgh, PA and/or Remote
Duration: Full Time
Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of experience as a Cloud Developer or similar role (Software Developer)
- Expertise in using Terraform to develop, test, and deploy cloud infrastructure as code
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
- Expertise with one of the Cloud Platforms (Azure or Google Cloud Platform), Majority of BNY cloud work loads leverage Azure today, but looking for multi-cloud exposure.
- Familiarity with Azure Compute, Functions, AAD, AKS, VPN Gateways, Firewall, Storage services, Monitoring and Logging.
- Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, Github)
- Familiarity with API and software development tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Hands- on designing and developing solutions using Azure AI APIs (eg: OpenAI, Document Intelligence, AI Search, etc) also a big plus
- Solid background on systems architecture/design.
- Proficiency with cloud networking and security services
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands- on experience developing large scale, secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and services including Kubernetes, Serverless, Cloud Messaging.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in platform design and development.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs
- Basic utilization of cloud database services (SQL, NoSQL, Azure Cache for Redis) and UNIX/Windows
- Consistent contributions to open-source software projects
- Curiosity to solve new problems and keep learning new technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Active certifications for Terraform, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
