Currently, we are representing a mid-sized soft craft and industrial service company that specializes in providing infrastructure and soft craft services. Their offerings include scaffolding, fireproofing, insulation, heat tracing, painting, rope access, and more. They serve clients in the petrochemical, pulp, and general manufacturing industries as well as contractors and owners.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join the organization. This role will focus on identifying bid opportunities in Louisiana while fostering relationships with manufacturers, owners, and general contractors. The ideal candidate should be driven, strategic, and dedicated to building relationships that support business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop bid opportunities primarily in the Louisiana market.
- Collaborate with owners and general contractors to understand construction timelines, and project requirements, and formulate proposals.
- Work closely with an experienced senior director for mentorship and guidance to enhance your professional skills and industry knowledge.
- Contribute to the growth of an employee-owned company with nationwide operational coverage, promoting a culture of teamwork and ownership.
- Engage in strategic planning to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of experience in business development and sales within the soft craft or industrial services focusing on securing estimates and bid opportunities.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with an Associate’s degree and relevant industry experience will be strongly considered.
- Excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a keen understanding of market dynamics.
