Assistant Fleet Supervisor

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team. The Fleet Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing our fleet assets, ensuring they are in optimal condition and properly equipped for their intended use. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks including ordering, activating, and installing Motive tracking systems, as well as managing the movement of assets between various site locations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ordering, Activating, and Installing Motive Tracking Systems: • Coordinate the procurement and activation of Motive tracking systems for fleet vehicles.• Ensure seamless installation and functionality.Asset Movement:• Facilitate the transfer of trucks and equipment between site locations for job site requirements and mechanic drop-offs/pick-ups. CAPEX Purchase Review and Approval: • Review CAPEX purchases before dealer pickup, ensuring alignment with Fleet Manager approvals.Active Presence in assigned yards:• Conduct regular checks on trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations before they go out for the day.• Stock vehicles with the correct equipment.Inventory Management:• Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records of equipment in vehicles.• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and asset protection. SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Critical thinking skills• Conflict resolution skills• Good analytical skills with the ability to plan, predict, investigate, and find solutions• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Outlook and Excel• Excellent at relationship building• Ability to communicate with clarity at the frequencies required by management and customers• Work independently with minimal supervision
