What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at HireCall?
We are recruiting CNC machinists to work at our client's climate-controlled facility. Machinists will place and secure parts, fixtures and tools onto machines. Using the tools of the trade, our machinists are expected to use micrometers, calipers and other tools and gauges to read, interpret and act on requirements and specifications on blueprints for a variety of parts. We need machinists with proven experience and success troubleshooting and resolving operation or programming problems.
The current opening is for 2nd shift Monday - Thursday 4 : 30pm - 3am. 2nd shift employees receive 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked.
Job Requirements
Must be able to perform setups including the following :
- Loading fixtures
- Setting up and loading tools
- Selecting and loading the program
- Setting work coordinates
- Size in first part using offsets and observe measurements
- Read and interpret drawings, symbols, and tolerances
- Identify and select correct material
- Meet the assigned run times
Physical Requirements
Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.
Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
Pay : $18 – 28 / hr plus 11.5% shift differential
