Certifications:
- Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
- Certified surgical assistant, certified surgical technologist and clinical licensures as appropriate with the above Education.
- Holds current certification by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist as a first assistant or the National Surgical Assistant Association on the Certification of Surgical Assistants or any entity approved by the National Association of Surgical Technologists (AST).
- Surgical Technologist must also hold a Surgical Technologist certification.
- Current certification American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
- Certified surgical assistant, certified surgical
- Clinical experience as a surgical assistant preferred
- Must have able to perform endoscopic vein harvest for open heart
- Must meet one of the following Education and Experience qualifications:
- LPN or with three years of experience as a LPN and certification as a Surgical First Assist, or
- Surgical Technologist with three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist and certification as a Surgical First Assist and a Surgical Technologist, or
- High School Education/GED with completion of Surgical First Assist Program and five years of Surgical First Assistant experience and certification as a Surgical First Assist.

- 8 hour shifts Day Shift - 0630-1500 with 2-3 weekday calls and every 3rd weekend call.
