Industrial Painter/Sandblaster

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented General Laborer – Industrial Painter with an automotive body background to join our team. This role involves preparing and painting industrial parts for the oil and gas industry. Ideal candidates will have experience from a technical school specializing in automotive bodywork and painting and be willing to apply their skills in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare industrial parts for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
• Apply paint coatings using spray guns and other painting techniques.
• Ensure all painted surfaces meet quality standards for durability and appearance.
• Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper cleanup and storage.
• Follow safety guidelines, including handling of chemicals and proper ventilation.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed in the shop environment.
• Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an Automotive Body & Paint program from a technical school.
• Experience in automotive painting or industrial coating preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt painting techniques for industrial applications.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, and working with industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Knowledge of proper paint mixing, application, and curing processes.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
