Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Handle custodial responsibilities in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including the use of specialized equipment.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure they are stored properly after use.
- Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and floor care procedures.
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus for maintaining aesthetic appeal in facilities.
- Ability to perform commercial cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Experience:
- Custodial experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
- Commercial cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
