As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with various legal tasks, including housing/landlord-tenant, public benefits, and veteran benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and draft pleadings under attorney supervision.
- Schedule appointments and manage case files.
- Perform legal assessments, intakes, and case management.
- Conduct outreach and assist with family law and veteran matters.
- Leverage your analytical skills to learn about unique military/veteran issues and laws from both private and public entities.
- Prepare correspondence and review client eligibility.
- Open and close case files in the Legal Server database.
- Scan and upload case documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients and other parties via phone calls.
- Assist the Staff Attorney with various duties as assigned.
