What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Vice President position at HireIO, Inc.?
A teaching hospital system in NYC with branches in Westchester and further north is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Employee and Labor Relations to assist with the oversight of the function at all campuses and off-site facilities, serving as a key spokesperson and negotiator for several selected collective bargaining agreements.
This individual will report to the Vice President, Employee and Labor Relations and will join a robust department of ten to twelve employees.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and interpreting collective bargaining agreements
- Establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with collective bargaining units
- Developing negotiation strategies
- Training managers in proper protocols
- Participating in dispute resolution to avoid expensive litigation, strikes and other business disruptions
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have a proven progressive management track record in Human Resources specializing in labor and employee relations issues including union contract negotiations and grievance hearings. A JD degree is required. Candidates must have strong analytic, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills and be proactive and visionary.
Healthcare background necessary but will consider outside of healthcare.
