JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Master Fabricator, you will be essential in transforming raw materials into high-quality products through skilled fabrication techniques. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will utilize your core skills in blueprint reading, welding, and power tools to execute precise fabrications. Your premium expertise in MIG and FCAW welding, along with heavy equipment operation, will enhance production efficiency. Additionally, your relevant skills in rigging and mechanical knowledge will support various projects, ensuring safety and adherence to specifications. Essential Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to fabricate components accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques, including MIG and FCAW, to construct and assemble metal structures.
- Operate heavy equipment and cranes safely while adhering to site protocols.
- Perform quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure precise measurements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain effective communication throughout the fabrication process.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Self-starter with a good attitude and communication skills
- Excellent fit up and fabrication skills utilizing power and hand tools, FCAW, GMAW, TiG and SMAW processes
- Read and understand mechanical drawings
- Must be organized and capable of multi-tasking in solo and team environments
- A background in agriculture or heavy equipment is beneficial
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willing to accept training, work overtime as required and travel
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- An advanced welding test is given during the interview
Compensation and Benefits:
- Position is hourly with wages based on experience ($30-$40/hr.)
