HireLevel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager for one of our clients in New Baden, IL.
This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing for all services provided by the facility, as well as ensuring the collection of all funds due from private and public funding sources. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with multiple internal departments, family members or guardians of residents, insurance carriers, and governmental agencies such as the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS).

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day functions of Accounts Receivables for all facilities.
- Develop and implement written policies and procedures governing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate reporting of operating income for all facilities.
- Complete admissions input for agency accountant services and PointClickCare system.
- Ensure accurate daily and monthly census data is recorded and provided to accountant services, as well as the President/CFO.
- Handle all Medicare (Med A & Med B) billing using the accounts receivable system.
- Review and appeal denied or unpaid claims for all coverage types.
- Manage collections on unpaid accounts from insurance carriers, governmental sources, private pay sources, etc.
- Verify resident insurance coverage prior to admission and meet with families to explain available coverage, co-insurance, and amounts due.
- Complete Medicaid & Managed Care insurer billing requirements monthly through the IL Medi System.
- Work with ICFDD and SNF Social Service Designees and Healthcare & Family Services representatives regarding income changes, payment issues, and annual redeterminations.
- Complete Medicaid Bed Hold reports monthly to ensure accurate Medicaid billing.
- Coordinate with the CFO on bank deposits, reconcile deposits monthly, and provide detailed reports to the accountant service.
- Record payments into the appropriate cash receipts journal & PointClickCare software and verify daily deposit ticket accuracy.
- Monitor and report delinquent accounts to the CFO.
- Assist the Social Services Director in interviewing residents/guardians to obtain the required financial information.
- Explain billing procedures and room rates to residents and/or guardians.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in long-term care billing preferred, but not required
- Medical billing certification preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and ability to learn quickly
- Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with PointClickCare, ROCS, Impact, Medi systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various ages and understanding levels
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to people
