Corporate Controller
We are partnering with a Private Equity backed, facilities services organization seeking a Corporate Controller.
The Corporate Controller works closely with the CFO to set and achieve the company's financial goals and objectives. This role involves overseeing all accounting and financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing accounting records, and providing financial insights to drive business decisions. The Controller will report directly to the CFO and will manage the accounting team.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, setting performance metrics, and fostering professional development.
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of accurate, high-quality financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Develop and maintain reliable control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Implement and standardize accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage and monitor financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, borrowing base certificates, and covenant reports to lenders.
- Support the company’s financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Manage the annual audit process, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Oversee multi-state sales and income tax reporting, filing, and business registrations.
- Assist in managing credit and lending agreements, ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations.
- Oversee cash and asset management, including reporting, forecasting, cash disbursements, A / R controls, and wire transfers.
- Administer and oversee company-issued credit cards, including platform management and transaction postings.
- Lead ERP system integration and support finance-related IT needs.
- Collaborate with the CFO to establish and enhance the company's financial framework.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies while providing strategic insights to improve business performance.
