Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the nursing management team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Serve as the primary liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and staff, fostering seamless communication.
- Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present nursing performance reports to the executive leadership team.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations while upholding clinical excellence.
- Oversee crisis prevention training and ensure all nursing staff certifications remain current.
- Champion a patient-first approach, supporting a psychosocial model that enhances patient outcomes.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Education: BSN required; a postgraduate degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred (or a written plan to obtain one).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in Washington State.
- Certifications: CPI/Crisis Prevention Training (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Experience:Leadership in behavioral health or psychiatric settings.
- Direct experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patient populations.
- Expertise in patient assessments, treatment planning, and family communication.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS compliance.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Nice-to-Haves
- Leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric setting.
- Background in crisis stabilization environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (Joint Commission, CMS).
