Human Resources Director Position Summary :
The Human Resources Director (HRD) is a key strategic partner to the Facility CEO and other leadership team members, playing a vital role in defining, developing, and implementing people services initiatives. The HRD oversees all areas of People Services, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation management, performance management, training and leadership development, policy creation, and procedural compliance. This position also involves managing a team of People Services professionals. Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, the HRD ensures the alignment of HR strategies with organizational goals to support a culture of excellence.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- PHR / SPHR certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in HR / People Services, focusing on Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development, and Compensation Management, with a preference for healthcare industry experience.
- Supervisory experience managing a diverse HR / People Services team.
- Experience with union environments and collective bargaining processes.
- Expertise in federal and state employment laws, including regulatory compliance (e.g., CMS, OSHA, TJC).
- Proven ability to manage departmental services in compliance with all relevant regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).
