Key Responsibilities
M&A Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a disciplined, objective, and structured approach to identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential acquisition targets within related end markets.
- Source opportunities through proprietary relationships, industry conferences, investment banks, private equity firms, and other intermediaries.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessments to support deal structuring and strategic decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional due diligence efforts, coordinating finance, operations, legal, and external advisors.
- Serve as the primary liaison with target companies, guiding sellers—especially founder-led businesses—through the transaction process.
- Negotiate purchase agreements, deal structures, and key terms in collaboration with executive leadership, private equity sponsor, and legal counsel.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine M&A priorities and long-term investment strategy.
- Monitor emerging economic and industry trends, providing recommendations on strategic growth opportunities.
- Partner with senior executives, finance teams, and private equity sponsors to ensure alignment on investment priorities.
- 6-8 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or private equity.
- Proven ability to source, evaluate, and execute M&A transactions, including pipeline development.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex deal processes from evaluation to close.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with founder-led businesses and unsophisticated sellers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, private equity-backed environment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing priorities.
