The Vice President of Corporate Development is responsible for overseeing not only those who are involved in the M&A process, but the transactions themselves. Example of oversight include : research, document review, risk analysis, growth plans, strategic business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements. Will be responsible for understanding and presenting such data to the Executive Team when discussing possible and secured transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all M&A deal flow for assigned territories by maintaining a pipeline, proactively contacting targets, evaluating deals sent to LRS and building strategic relations with Investment Bankers / Consultants to keep LRS top-of-mind in the marketplace.
  • Develop long term investment thesis and actionable steps to achieve goal.
  • Cultivate and leverage external relationships to drive inflow of leads on target companies / prospects.
  • Attend networking events for key stakeholders to stay on top of assigned territories.
  • Ensure contingency policies, systems, and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption.
  • Implement new technologies and drive overall performance to maximize the M&A process.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. Consult with senior leadership on business goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships at all levels within the organization and with our customer leaders.
  • Lead and create value through exceptional customer service while focusing on exceeding financial performance through flawless execution.
  • Support transaction evaluation and structuring with Finance, Legal, and Integration.
  • Define and manage the business levers to execute a cohesive strategy for disciplined growth.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in a related industry with at least 7-10 years of experience managing teams; Masters preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, overwhelming drive to win and high energy levels to match the pace of work make for an ideal candidate.
  • Strong internal / external customer service focus and problem-solving approach to meeting operational needs.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Continuous improvement methodology knowledge and experience are an asset.
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations or other regulations that affect the operation.
  • Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and follow through to ensure all issues are resolved.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills adapted to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across organizational lines from team members to customers / clients and other functional leads etc.
