Mammography Tech - Full-Time (Days)

Location : Houston, TX

Salary Range : $68,000.00 - $95,000.00

Signing Bonus : Not available

Relocation Package : Partial

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Graduate of an approved Mammography Technology program
  • Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) license or temporary license (required)
  • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) (required)
  • Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)

Nice-to-Haves :

  • Prior experience as a Mammography Tech
  • Experience working in an Outpatient Imaging Center

    • Licenses / Certifications

  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
  • Current MRT license (Texas Medical Board)
  • ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications

    • Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography exams while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging.
  • Monitor and enter patient data accurately.
  • Conduct quality assurance on mammography equipment; assist with accreditation processes (e.g., ACR).
  • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment issues to management.
  • Respond to emergency calls within the department.
  • Promote safety and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Support professional growth through continuing education and serve as a mentor to junior staff.

  • Ability to lift and / or maneuver patients as needed.
