Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract assignment. This role will involve working on various mechanical engineering activities related to rotating and static equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, cryogenic storage tanks, exchangers, cooling towers, refrigeration units, and more. The position will be based in Houston, Texas
Job Description
- Engineering activities related to rotating and static equipment categories for various projects
- Develop technical solutions that balance cost and performance, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Support proposals and projects by identifying equipment risks and defining mitigation actions.
- Assist during the execution phase by monitoring machine packages, including :
- Analyzing suppliers’ offers and preparing technical comparison tables.
- Verifying supplier documents (plans, procedures, calculation notes, etc.).
- Communicating with suppliers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Contribute to problem-solving during the design, manufacturing, installation, startup, and operational phases.
- Provide technical support to operational centers and other entities within the company.
- Participate in non-conformance management and root cause analysis for technical incidents.
- Ensure traceability of technical decisions and document lessons learned.
