Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Concrete Project Manager & Estimator to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and managing the client's project to ensure successful execution. This role requires a solid understanding of concrete estimating & construction management principles and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze concrete project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam or ProCore to streamline the estimating process.
- Collaborate with field staff to ensure project schedules and timelines are met.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
- Prepare and present comprehensive estimates for contracts, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information and clarify project requirements.
- Review completed projects to compare estimated costs with actual costs for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is preferred.
- Experience in project scheduling and contract / permit management is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
