- No guaranteed hours. This position is on an as-needed basis.
- Candidates must be available during peak season (August-December).
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Life and Health Insurance License (Mandatory)
- Reliable Transportation and Driver's License
- Experience in benefits education (employee-sponsored plans, group health, dental, pharmacy, vision, supplemental health insurance)
- Ability to work on-demand with short notice availability
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email access
Job Overview:
You will represent our company as a Benefit Educator, responsible for conducting enrollment events, benefit fairs, and health fairs to educate employees on employer-sponsored benefits. Your goal is to create a positive and informative experience while effectively presenting our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate & Present: Introduce and explain our benefits programs to individuals and groups.
- Enrollment Support: Assist employees with their benefit choices, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Event Facilitation: Represent our company at benefit fairs, open enrollment sessions, and other client-facing events.
Travel & Coverage:
- Willing to travel within the assigned geographic market.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to event locations.
- Expected to cover expenses upfront (e.g., hotel, airfare, car rental) and submit for reimbursement.
Technology & Communication:
- Comfortable with virtual and in-person presentations using PowerPoint, Webex, Zoom, Skype, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compliance & Professionalism:
- Maintain knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and local market nuances (providers, networks, competitors).
- Represent our company professionally and knowledgeably.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual candidates preferred (unless required for specific roles)
- Familiarity with local market networks and competitors.
