Our partners have an immediate full-time opening for a Funding Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with our Assistive Technology Specialist (ATS), Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs), and client families providing support and guidance through the entire funding process.
A day in the life of a Funding Specialist consists of:
- Verifying insurance eligibility and reviewing records for accuracy.
- Obtaining precertification and authorization for services.
- Submitting professional claims and resolving claim rejections or denials in a timely manner.
- Utilizing critical thinking and sound judgment to solve problems and make decisions throughout the claims process.
- Providing support to clients and clinicians via phone and email.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong administrative experience, including data entry, document management, and client record handling.
- Familiarity with insurance processes such as verifying eligibility, precertification/authorization, and claims management is preferred but not required.
- A history of stable, long-term employment (2 years at prior positions is preferred).

- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to develop solutions and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM software (ACT! CRM is a plus). Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus but not required.
