Role: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Cardiology)
Location: Township of Hamilton, NJ
Shift: Full-time (Days)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our cardiology team. In this role, you will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients through personalized care plans, diagnostic evaluations, and follow-up management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiac care
- Perform physical exams, diagnose cardiac conditions, and create treatment plans
- Conduct and interpret EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms
- Manage patient follow-ups, medication adjustments, and provide patient education
- Ensure continuity of care through effective collaboration with referring physicians
- Participate in patient education programs and provide counseling on heart-healthy practices
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years of clinical experience as an NP or PA in cardiology (inpatient and outpatient experience preferred)
- Hospitalist experience will be considered if it includes significant cardiac care management
- Comfortable working independently in diagnosing and treating cardiac patients
- Ability to perform cardiac stress testing (training available if needed)
- Strong proficiency in EKG interpretation with expert-level accuracy
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active RN and NP/PA License in the state of New Jersey
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) Certification
- Additional certifications related to cardiology are a plus
