Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Cardiology)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiology team. In this role, you will work closely with cardiologists to provide advanced cardiac care, assess patients, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans. This position emphasizes patient education, follow-up care, and coordination with referring physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical exams, diagnose cardiovascular conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms)
- Manage follow-up care, medication adjustments, and patient education
- Ensure continuity of care by collaborating with referring physicians and healthcare teams
- Independently assess, diagnose, and treat cardiac patients
- Perform cardiac stress testing (preferred, but training available)
- Expertly interpret EKGs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an NP/PA in cardiology (hospitalist experience may be considered if it includes significant cardiac patient management)
- Proficient in EKG interpretation with expert-level accuracy
- Comfortable independently managing cardiac patients
- Experience performing cardiac stress testing (Preferred, training available)
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active RN and NP or PA license in New Jersey
- Valid Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification
