Job Description
Candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our mining operations by managing and analyzing geospatial data.
- Position involves working closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient use of GIS technology.
- Maintain GIS databases, models, and templates.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret geospatial data to support various departments.
- Create detailed maps and visualizations for internal and external use.
- Implement GIS applications to integrate business content into other internal projects.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on GIS tools and applications.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular updates and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address GIS needs and opportunities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in GIS analysis and database management.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in the mining industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.
- Familiarity with remote sensing and spatial analysis techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
