Your Role with the Company

As an Electrical Field Service Technician / Engineer , you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) industrial electrical systems and equipment across multiple facilities. Reporting to the Electrical Reliability Manager, you will work both independently and collaboratively to achieve strategic reliability goals in the region.

You’ll have the opportunity to :

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment, including substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relay systems, battery and UPS systems, and transformers up to 138kV.

Handle induction and synchronous motors up to 40,000 hp and 15,000 volts.

Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance based on established procedures.

Perform predictive maintenance activities such as IR Thermography, Transformer Oil Analysis, Partial Discharge Analysis, and Power Quality Analysis.

This role requires a blend of office-based planning and hands-on fieldwork, with approximately 20% domestic travel and occasional off-hours availability. You’ll be working in various weather conditions and accessing elevated equipment via ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets.

Background Profile

Required Qualifications :

Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology OR 5 years of experience in maintaining medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) electrical systems in an industrial environment.

Proven expertise as a field service engineer / technician, electrician, power distribution technician, or project manager specializing in industrial electrical maintenance.

Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial electrical systems.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Proficiency in standard software tools such as MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology OR 2 years as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial environment.

Proven experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) industrial electrical systems and equipment.

Understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes, as well as control and instrumentation systems in industrial settings.

Experience using CMMS systems like Infor EAM.

Compensation :

Salary Range : $95K to $110K.

Type : Direct Hire.
