Hiro Sake, a company that is transforming the US sake market, is seeking a Sales Manager to accelerate the brand’s growth in Texas.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic sales manager who will lead sales and distribution of our product portfolio in the Texas market    Previous sales experience in wine and spirits is required.  The Sales Manager will work closely with our Texas distributor to develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the brand.  The Sales Manager will be responsible for securing new product listings and opening new accounts to expand distribution as well managing existing account relationships.  This is hands-on role and requires spending the majority of time in field and working directly with our Texas distributor.

Candidates must be based in the Dallas / Ft Worth as that is where our distributor is located.

THE BRAND

Launched 12 years ago, Hiro Sake has grown steadily and is now distributed in 30 US markets as well as internationally.  The brand was created to make premium sake easier to understand and more accessible for consumers and to expand consumption beyond Japanese food to a wide range of occasions including cocktails and food pairings with many different cuisines.  We produce and import from Japan 3 handcrafted, award-winning sakes :   Hiro Red (premium) Hiro Blue (super premium), and Hiro Gold (ultra-premium).  Recently we have launched an exciting new addition to our portfolio :   Hiro Saketini, a ready-to-drink canned cocktail in Black Cherry and Watermelon flavors.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create new points of distribution by calling on on / off premise accounts to present the brand
  • Expand distribution in national accounts
  • Manage relationships with existing customers and secure re-orders
  • Build and manage effective working relationships with the distributor and conduct regular review meetings

to ensure alignment with agreed goals and strategies

  • Leverage market knowledge and existing trade relationships to develop and execute a sales plan for the
  • state that will achieve desired goals

  • Train distributor sales teams on the brand and conduct regular ride-withs with sales reps
  • Provide regular reporting to management on sales results, programs, and areas of opportunity.
  • Attend and participate in distributor general sales meetings
  • Organize in-store product tastings
  • Act in a fiscally responsible manner and manage monthly and annual budgets
  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years sales experience in the spirits and wine industry . If you have no experience in wine
  • and spirit sales, you will not be considered.

  • Strong knowledge of the Texas market.   We are looking for someone who can be up and running from day
  • one and can leverage existing relationships and market understanding .

  • Successful track record of increasing sales and distribution of alcoholic beverage brands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in developing and navigating productive working relationships
  • with distributors

  • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and works well in less structured environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to plan workload around multiple assignments and priorities
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
