Role Overview
If you have a keen eye for detail and experience in medical device manufacturing, this role is for you! Join us as a Quality Control Inspector and uphold the high standards of our machined components during the night shift. In a dynamic and regulated environment, you’ll support production by performing essential inspections. Experience with CNC machining and adherence to ISO 13485 standards are greatly valued.
As a key player in our team, you'll ensure top-quality products through meticulous inspections aligned with the Hirsh Production System's principles. Effective teamwork and problem-solving abilities under tight schedules are a must.
Key Responsibilities
Support Quality Lab Production:
- Prioritize tasks according to the production schedule.
- Perform in-process inspections using CMMs.
- Conduct First Article, manual, and receiving inspections.
- Setup and breakdown of inspection equipment kits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory.
Foster Operations and Teamwork:
- Communicate inspection findings between departments.
- Utilize and understand inspection concepts and tools.
- Operate Zeiss Contura CMMs with competence.
- Assist with QC plan updates upon process changes.
- Conduct on-floor checks and offer guidance to newcomers.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Zeiss / Calypso or equivalent CMM.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 or AS9100 standards.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Independent work ability with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both with internal and external parties.
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 3 years in a quality/manufacturing environment, preferably related to CNC machining.
Work Environment: Must be able to stand and walk for most of the shift.
