Job Description:
The Application Engineer – VRF / Commercial, as an individual contributor, the VRF/Commercial application engineer will be responsible for providing project technical assistance support based on Hisense HVAC goals. You will become Hisense HVAC VRF product line project support staff. This includes providing sound advice to customers on correct design, selection, and advise. You will work closely with the Hisense sales team and regional distribution departments to ensure Hisense HVAC products are sold to customers in the best possible way.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- System Design and Planning:
- Responsibility: Responsible for providing design support for VRF systems based on customer requirements and project specifications. Collaborate with engineers and generate project selection reports based on project design requirements.
- Objective: Ensure that VRF system designs meet customer needs and project requirements and produce a project selection report outlining the chosen technical solutions.
- Technical Support:
- Responsibility: Provide technical support to customers, including engineers, distributors, and representatives, as well as sales team members. Answer technical questions related to VRF business and assist in addressing technical challenges that may arise during project design and application.
- Objective: Resolve technical queries and challenges, ensuring a smooth project design and application process.
- Product Promotion:
- Responsibility: Collaborate with sales and marketing personnel to conduct channel visits, such as Lunch and Learn (L&L) sessions and participate in large events like designer and dealer conferences. Introduce the Hisense VRF product lineup and highlight key selling points to enhance awareness and influence of Hisense VRF products in the North American region.
- Technical Document Review:
- Responsibility: Review technical documents related to the North American VRF system. Provide constructive suggestions for improvements in areas that require enhancement, including, but not limited to, product technical manuals, installation guides, training materials, etc.
- Objective: Ensure that the content of the relevant documents complies with local standards and practices. This includes offering recommendations for refinement to align with local standards and user preferences.
- Collaborate:
- Collaborate with the Business Unit and other members of the technical team to give guidance to distributor support
Qualifications:
- HVAC 2 years Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 1 years of experience within the HVAC application industry
- Basic expertise in Commercial Air Conditioning industry with preferred emphasis on VRF equipment
- Ability to travel up to 30-60% within the United States and internationally
- Expert at in-person and remote presentations with the ability to inspire, persuade, and motivate
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while supporting key business and leadership
- Technical knowledge of VRF and Commercial HVAC products
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- Familiarity with business/travel expense and reporting
