Overview:

The Inside Sales Manager - VRF will be responsible for supporting and expanding a network of VRF distributors and sales representative agencies. This role involves collaboration across the sales organization to launch and grow the market in the US. The primary focus is to implement and support a business strategy that achieves revenue goals for VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) products. We are seeking a driven individual who can build market share, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive growth in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale distributors in the HVAC space, including residential, design-build HVAC, and/or plumbing distributors.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers rep agencies to strengthen relationships, expand distribution, and provide product support and training in all market areas.
  • Train and support customers with VRF system technology, applications, design and brand positioning. Must be capable of thoroughly understanding VRF technology and act as an expert to support customer development, project management, and sales.
  • Schedule and conduct distributor and rep training sessions that emphasize product technology and quality, consultative selling, digital strategies, and profitable growth throughout the distribution chain.
  • Achieve sales, margin, and market share goals for the VRF product line.
  • Create action plans with distributors and reps that focus on financial forecasting and pipeline planning, sales performance, business planning, territory coverage, succession planning, and sales competency development.
  • Coordinate with training, logistics, marketing, and service/support teams to ensure proper inventory levels and high-quality promotions, installations, and customer service.
  • Work with distributors to develop contractor recruitment and sales plans aimed at achieving business objectives.
  • Address the needs and expectations of assigned distributors and reps, providing direct and indirect support through product support teams.
  • Resolve distribution conflicts effectively and build long-term, loyal partnerships.
  • Communicate regularly with sales leadership and regional managers to share best practices and insights with distribution and rep partners.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of VRF or related HVAC outside or inside sales experience.
  • Associates degree or higher required.
  • Experience with HVAC manufacturers is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of VRF products and services with the ability to train others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% within the U.S.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and manage the business planning process with distributors, reps, and markets.
  • Skilled in delivering both in-person and remote presentations that inspire, persuade, and motivate others.
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working independently while aligning with key business objectives.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., pricing, product, logistics, marketing, service).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with two-step distribution and the operational practices of residential HVAC contractors.
  • Track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies with key accounts.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience validating credit line reviews, Distributor P&L, and Contractor P&L.
