Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Support clients with hospice care when necessary
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate health-related information
- Experience in senior care or assisted living environments is highly desirable
- Certification in CPR is a plus
- Ability to launder clothing and linens while maintaining hygiene standards
- Experience working with people with disabilities is beneficial
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and compassion
- Ability to perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a tidy living space for clients
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is advantageous
