Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, and support in a home setting, ensuring that clients receive the care they need to maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring from bed to wheelchair or other locations.
- Monitor clients’ health by observing changes in their condition and reporting them to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Support clients with daily activities such as shopping, errands, and appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience in senior care or assisted living environments is a plus.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to launder clothing and linens effectively.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care.
