What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Hissong Group, Incorporated?
The primary function of the Payroll Specialist is to process payroll for our employees on a bi-weekly basis. Also provide staff support to the Business Manager and day-to-day activities of Hissong Group.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experienced processing payroll with various software?s.
- Experienced auditing payroll on different software systems.
- Checking timesheets for accuracy.
- Entering data into databases and spreadsheets.
- Handling direct deposit requests and data.
- Processing paper checks for distribution when needed.
- Acquiring all necessary signature to distribute payroll
- Processing wage garnishments
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commissions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including remittance of payroll taxes.
- Collect, verify, and record employee attendance, including hours worked.
- Compute wages, commissions, and deductions.
- Process and monitor garnishment orders
- Handle employee payroll discrepancies.
- Prepares and transmits direct deposits.
- Create timely and accurate preparation of all financial statements, budgets, and tax reports.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, pick up and take to Post Office & mailbox, sort and deliver to addressee.
- Maintain work station and keep area clean, neat, and organized.
- Ensure kitchen and lunchroom supplies are well stocked and organized and make coffee daily and for meetings.
- Maintain and protect highly confidential corporate information and communicate information within scope of authority.
- Follow all accounting and procedural rules as outlined in the Company Employee Handbook.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the Business Manager.
- Abide by the Company Drug Free Policy.
