Hissong Group, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager for its Kenworth of Cleveland location. The primary responsibility of the Service Manager is the supervision of the profitable operations of the Service Department and to grow the departmental service sales and gross profits each year.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of all Service Department employees.
- Review and analyze performance results, and takes corrective action, when applicable.
- Hire, organize, train, cross-train and develop all Service Department employees.
- Utilize Kenworth training modules from BCA for all Service Department employees and ensure that all technicians meet the annual Kenworth training goals.
- Coordinate dealership-wide service calls, advertising, and shop promotions. Work with the Hissong Marketing Manager as needed to assist with this.
- Coordinate the purchase and inter-dealership transfers of service shop equipment and tooling.
- Communicate and enforce company policies including those associated with safety.
- Establish and enforce standards related to the Service Department?s office, shop, drivers/customer lounge and restrooms being physically maintained, cleaned and organized so they present a professional image to our customers. This includes the satisfactory maintenance and replacement of exterior building lights, parking lot lights, and interior lighting throughout the facility.
- Manage and coordinate any necessary snow plowing of the parking lot and clearing of the sidewalks in winter as needed. If snowfall dictates more than one cleaning in the morning, then we need to stay ahead of it.
- Insure proper maintenance and care of Service Department truck parking lot year-round.
- Implement and organize all Kenworth programs for Dealer Excellence.
- Supervise Warranty Administrator(s) to assure the timely and accurate filing of claims to Kenworth and other O.E.M.?s in order to enhance profitability of the Service Department and to facilitate our cash flow.
- Ensure that our Corporate productivity and efficiency goals of our technicians are met meaning you must manage their work throughout the day and provide constant communication with each technician so they know what is expected of them for each and every RO.
- Analyze reasons for any comebacks and take corrective and timely action to comebacks in respect to both the technician causing the comeback and any communications necessary with the customer.
- Support all departments of the dealership via having a professional and courteous working relationship with each departmental manager.
- Ensure that there is constant communication between our Service Writers and our customers.
- Call on new accounts with the goal of growing each dealership?s sales and gross profit each and every year. Work with your General Manager and the Hissong Marketing Manager as needed to assist with this.
- Follows all accounting and procedural rules as outlined in the Service Department Polices Book and the Company Employee Handbook.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the General Manager.
- Abides by the company Drug Free Policy.
