Description: Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work weekdays and weekends at two historic house museums: the Eustis Estate, a Gilded Age mansion with opulent Aesthetic Movement interiors, advanced technologies, and fascinating stories of the family and workers on the estate; and Quincy House, an 18th century house with ties to the Revolutionary War era that tells the story of a woman’s work to preserve her family’s history more than 100 years later. Guides will engage with visitors, conduct tours and assist with daily museum operations including online ticketing and membership sales, and opening and closing the museum. Training is provided.
Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have an interest in history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available weekend days and have a flexible schedule. The Eustis Estate is open year round, mostly Friday-Sunday. The Quincy House is open Saturdays June – October. Applicants can work at one or both of the properties.
