Position Summary
The Lead Tour Conductor must have a good sense of fun and a desire to entertain, as well as excellent driving skills as they drive a tour bus on busy public streets while narrating a sightseeing tour multiple times a work shift. This position brings to life the history of America and all the positive things that it represents. The person in this position must make our gusts feel welcome and glad they chose out Company to entertain them. The Lead Tour Conductor will assist with dispatching tour buses as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Participate in “Manager on Duty” functions as assigned, managing the loop and charters and dispatch the tour loop efficiently and effectively; adjust vehicle assignments and conductor staff allocations to ensure the most effective use of vehicles and conductor staff.
- Assist Head Conductor and/or the Operations Manager in preparing the conductor’s schedule and vehicle assignments.
- Drive in a safe, competent manner a tour bus that is approximately 26 feet in length on busy public streets while entertaining guests by narrating a scripted sightseeing tour several times daily of approximately 1.5 – 2 hours each in duration.
- Meet and deal with the general public and divers company CAST in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the radio while maintaining a professional and pleasant composure.
- Maintain radio contact with dispatch during tours.
- Perform an interior and exterior physical inspection of the vehicle daily and accurately complete the departmental documents/forms for inspection.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid South Carolina Class C or higher CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
- Acceptable driving record for the past three years.

- Valid DOT physical required.
- Valid Charleston Tour Guide permit.

Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search
