HIT Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to support our brain injury services and Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF). This role involves conducting dietary assessments, developing nutrition plans, tracking resident progress, ensuring compliance with care standards, and providing training on nutrition and sanitation practices.
The Dietitian will conduct an initial dietary assessment within 30 days of admission for each individual in the ICF/MR residence. They will develop a 45-week cycle of nutritionally adequate approved menus for all ICF/MR settings and adjust menus as needed for therapeutic diets prescribed by physicians. The specialist will track resident progress by conducting annual reviews and quarterly notes as required. Accurate documentation is essential, and they will be responsible for maintaining records by entering patient information into the database and ensuring all progress is thoroughly documented.
Additionally, they will integrate new trends and techniques in nutrition to formulate care plans and update standards of care. Regular on-site inspections will be conducted to ensure facilities meet nutrition and sanitary standards. The Nutrition Specialist will also provide in-service training on nutrition, prepared menu serving, and health and sanitation standards as required.

Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Minimum of a bachelors degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program.
Currently holds a Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s). Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
