What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incoming Quality Inspector position at Hitachi Rail?
Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role involves inspecting Commercial off the Shelf items, electronic assemblies, castings & machined components to ensure compliance with Hitachi drawings and technical specifications.
In this position, you will be responsible for creating Quality Notifications (QN), quarantining non-conforming product, and distributing QN via email to the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for resolution.
You will also conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), record findings on associated forms, and make entries on the FAI SharePoint site. Additionally, you will record inspection results in SAP and assist in gathering department assets for weekly calibration.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Proficient use of Microsoft office suite: Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.
