Key Responsibilities
The primary function of this role is to inspect commercial off-the-shelf items (COTS), electronic assemblies, castings & machined components. This involves checking for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, workmanship, compliance with Hitachi drawings and technical specifications.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating Quality Notifications (QN), quarantining non-conforming product to the appropriate area & distributing the QN via email to the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for resolution. Additionally, they will conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), record findings on the associated forms & make entries on the FAI SharePoint site.
Other key responsibilities include recording inspection results in SAP and assisting in gathering department assets for weekly calibration.
